Instituto Cervantes is pleased to present Global Mode > Omnivores, a solo exhibition by new media artist Eva Davidova.
Davidova’s participatory mixed reality installations, digital animations, and hybrid objects highlight the inter-connectivity within humans and non-humans on our planet, using ancient myths and novel technology to address ecological disasters and the potential for alternative action. Global Mode > Omnivores also serves as a platform for a series of Tentacles /“happenings” that will take place during the length of the exhibition, bringing into dialogue works by three additional artists.
Guest artists: Janet Biggs (US), Mark Ramos (PH), and Estudio Atractor (CO).
A special thanks to collaborators Danielle McPhatter, Matthew D. Gantt, Meredith Drum and Marissa Delano, performers Naicha Diaby, Heather Mo’witz and MX. Oops, choreographer/ dancer Kristen McNally, and to Asher Remy Toledo for his advisory presence.
